Moving the Second Wild Swarm

Chris Brown was down visiting our place and he volunteered to help me move the second swarm of the spring into a new Warre style hive. I built the hive similar to the other hive. It has the Warre roof, a quilt, and is stacked upon Langstroth medium boxes. I also made the hive with a screened bottom board. I set up the new hive on a stand about 18 to 20 inches off the ground. I disassembled it and climbed the tree to retrieve the bees. There were no problems moving the bees from the bait hive to the new Warre Hive. I now have two hives!
